Peter states it well in his letter: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10)
Responding to this challenge, Trinity has many and varied opportunities for the members to serve. You are invited to put your passion, time, and talents to work for the Lord by becoming involved in one of the ministries listed below. **Church membership is required to serve in some ministries.
WHERE DOES GOD WANT YOU TO SERVE?
Baptism – The team assists candidates with the ordinance of baptism prior to and after their baptism.
Bountiful Blessings – Trinity Baptist Church coordinates a monthly distribution of food ordered and purchased through the San Antonio Food Bank. The food boxes are donated to families and individuals within and outside of the Trinity membership.
Care centers Assisted living Resident homes Etc. (CARE) – The team ministers to persons in Care centers, Assisted living, Resident homes, Etc. (Rehab) through visits, telephone calls, and cards.
**Children’s Ministry Action Team (CMAT) – The team assists the Children’s Pastor in reaching the mission goals for planning, organizing, and implementing various children’s programs and activities. *Background checks are required to serve in any position within the Children’s Ministry.
Communication – The team is responsible for internal and external church communications in conjunction with the annual ministry plan.
Discipleship & Education – Serves as advisors to the educational staff, approves curriculum, organization, and functioning of the Christian Education Ministry.
Facilities – Responsible for recommending the acquisitions, construction, maintenance, development, or disposition of church property.
Finance – Facilitates the development of an annual church budget and oversees the financial operations of the church.
Floral Ministry – Creates small arrangements from Sunday’s sanctuary flowers for members to take to hospital patients, homebound members, retirement communities, or anyone that needs a floral gift.
Food Service Support – The team assists in serving our members and guests at Wednesday night (Faith Family Night) dinner and other churchwide events.
Governance – Reviews the Church Governance Documents and ensures that the actions of the church are executed in accordance with the Church Governance Documents.
History – The team documents and records the history of Trinity Baptist Church.
Hospitality/Welcome – The team welcomes guests when they enter the church on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and at other church related activities. Members of the team man the Welcome Center in the Fanning Foyer and the other entrances to Trinity Baptist Church.
Lay Ministry – Shall promote, facilitate, and assist with all ministry teams of the church.
Ladie’s Ministry (Amazing Ladies of Trinity) – The goal of the Amazing Ladies of Trinity is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, mentoring, and relationship building. These opportunities include Bible studies, service projects, and social events.
Library – Team members regularly volunteer in the Roof Memorial Library and assist with special projects as needed.
Lord’s Supper (Communion) – The team prepares the elements for the Lord’s Supper (Communion) on traditional holidays and as directed by the Senior Pastor.
Men’s Ministry – The Men’s Ministry builds the fellowship and spiritual maturity of men through Bible Study, monthly programs, and retreats.
Mental Health Ministry – The team mission is to help educate and equip our congregation so that individual members can be better sensitized to recognize the needs of those living with mental health challenges and equipped to connect individuals and their families in need to available resources.
Micah 6:8 – The goal of this ministry is to develop, challenge, and equip the Church to understand and engage local social issues while highlighting and streamlining current and ongoing social justice efforts within the Church.
Music & Worship Arts Ministries –

Youth Music – As scheduled for students 6-12th grade.
FFN Kidz Edition – Wednesday 6:00-7:15 pm, Preschool – 5th grade.
New Member – The team greets new members after each Sunday morning worship service to welcome them into the church and to invite them to TBC4U. The team follows up with contacts encouraging connection and involvement in the church.
**Offering Counting – The team, on a rotating basis, counts and prepares the weekly offering for deposit.
**Older Adult Ministry Action Team (OAMAT) – The purpose of this team is to be aware of the ministry needs of older adults and to create opportunities for service.
Prayer Ministry – The ministry promotes and supports praying for individuals, the church, community, national, and global needs. Aspects of the ministry include the Trinity Baptist Church Prayer Room, prayer groups, special prayer emphasis, and worship intercessors.
Personnel – Responsible for all personnel matters.
Scholarship – Awards scholarships to members who are pursuing a degree in Christian Ministry.
Stewardship – Supports the general welfare of the church by educating, promoting, and encouraging the biblical concepts of stewardship.
Staff Support: Administrative Angels – The team performs various administrative tasks for the church staff as needed.
Staff Support: Staff Appreciation – The team shows monthly appreciation to the Trinity Baptist Church staff through treats and encouragement. Highlights include a yearly luncheon and holiday pies at Thanksgiving.
**Student Ministry Advisory Team (SMAT) – The team oversees the youth program and is comprised of parents of Jr. High & Sr. High Students.
TriPoint Ministry Team – This team supports the ministry of the TriPoint Community. We have opportunities to greet guests, be part of the prayer team, develop and promote community events, connect people to spiritual growth opportunities, and use creative gifts to enhance the worshipping community at TriPoint.
**Young Adult Ministry Action Team (YAMAT) – This team actively engages to plan and implement ministry for young adults (college, professional, singles, and married couples, etc.) through discipleship, outreach, vocation, and community.
